I am starting to bring some of my old photos and reviews here on Buzznet.
The Sleek Pout paints are very simular to the OCC liptars, OCC is quite expensive to get over in the UK, so I'm very happy that a drugstore brand have brought out a dupe for a mere £4.99 each and with a wide range of colours aswell.
Here is the full selection that you can either purchase via the Superdrug website, Sleek Website or at your local Superdrug store- if they have a dedicated section.
I got three, a while back on a 3 for 2 offer that Superdrug do on a regular basis.
They are a very thick, pigmented like a liquid lipstick and you only need a rice sized amount to cover your lips evenly- seriously, that little. If you do happen to use too much, chances are that the colour will bleed profusly from your lipline and just be a big, colourful mess around your chops!
Also a good thing about these, is that you can make your own custom lipcolour by combining a few of these together- I can make a glossier dupe to LimeCrimes 'No she didn't' by mixing the white pout paint and blue one together to create a newer pastel shade.
The possibilties are endless.
The down side to these is perhaps, their colour collection. Maybe they could have brought in a brown or black, maybe another purple- as you can see the colour selection revolves around mainly pinks and peaches.
Also, if you are going to use them- use a lipliner as some of these tend to bleed.
I got these colours; L-R, Pinkini, Lava and Peek-A-Bloo.
And here they look on the lips.
Pinkini: Its a very Vibrant Fuschia. But I usually blot it off on my lips to give it a more matte and toned down appearance.
Lava: It is beautiful orange. However, its a shade that I can't pull off aswell as it makes my teeth look really yellow. I would perhaps mix it with a white, so that its more peachy then blot it off.
Peek-A-Bloo: As you can tell from my last post, you know that I love this blue. Its makes my eyes look more blue and makes my skin look more brighter, yet the only problem is that it stains certain parts of my lips.
Have you guys used the Pout Paints? What cool combination have you managed to make out of yours? If not do you own the OCC lip tars or MAC LipMix?
Just comment and let's have a make-up talk :)
